They make stickers that you can put on these buttons, I know there are some sources that make them for VWs.

Group the buttons you do have together and replace the blanks with little trim panels matching the rest of the interior, brushed aluminum, piano black, I'd even accept fake wood to replace the blanks, as long as it matches.

I think they should put blank actual buttons in (just one part number, make it cheap) and then give you a sticker kit with 100's of different options. They button wont be hooked up, but you could convince your friends you have a button for; a blender, flux capacitor, stone cutters secret passage ( shut up ), etc. Then you could convince them...probably pretty easily since its mostly German cars that have this...that the button is just broken right now.

hmm, may require a fair amount of variable wiring, which would be more expensive than just giving us the missing options, one would think.

Instead of "Missiles", I read "Nibbles" the first time. I think I'm spending too much time on Oppo...
But seriously, where do we get these stickers?

Alternately, you could go the "Das Keyboard" route and replace all your existing buttons with blanks.
That way, there's a clean homogeneous look, and you're the only one who knows what any buttons do, connected or not.

I did replace one of my blanks with a leftover sunroof button (I don't have a sunroof) and another of my blanks with an extra foglight button, both obviously do nothing.

Put some crazy looking switches in there. Drive people nuts trying to figure out what it does.

I'm going to get all the missing unused switches for the track car and install them for other functions. They're real cheap on ebay anyways, seat heaters, sunroof and stuff.
